There's a map on one of the pillars, but you don't feel the need to look at it. This is the only transit stop for a good many miles, and you usually have to wait, what, 30 minutes? That is to say, you know the place by heart. You've had so many gorgeous sunset moments here. So many sunrises too! So many late-into-the-night moments with friends, tapping on the bricks and talking aimlessly, waiting to go somewhere. But right now you're alone, which is usually the case when you're waiting for the train. Sometimes you're listening to music, but right now it's just you, the wind, and the birds. Eventually you hear the rails faintly humming. You look to the right and see the engine appear in the distance. You watch for the duration of its approach until it slowly pulls past you. The doors open. No one steps out. Minding the gap, you step onto the train and find a seat. A quiet voice announces that the doors are closing, then you're on your way.
